Say what you need. People raise a hand.
Sometimes you do not want to browse profiles. You want something done. Post what you need, when, and what you will pay, and it goes on the map as a violet pin. Members are notified, people who can help raise a hand with their price, and you choose who gets your offer.
What people post
A post is one short line about what you need, an optional detail or two, a day and a time, and the amount you will pay. Anything a person can help with in person fits: a repair or a move, a lesson, a translation, photos, tech help, a legal or tax question, advice.

How it works
Say what you need
Write one line, add a detail if it helps, pick the day and the time, and type the amount you will pay. Your profile needs a photo, because the people who offer to help see who is asking.
It goes on the map
Your post becomes a violet pin where you appear on the map: your phone's location, or a pin you dropped by hand. Members are notified, and any member can open it from the Needs tab.
People raise a hand
Whoever can help taps "I can help" and keeps your amount or names their own price, above or below it. Helpers never see each other's hands or prices.
You choose, then send the offer
Your pin lists every hand with the person's photo, profession, price and verified badge, verified people first. Open a profile to look closer, then tap Send offer: it starts at their price, and you can change it.
From the offer on, it is the same flow as every meeting on Booking Minds: they accept or decline, the chat opens once they accept, and the QR scan when you meet closes it. You send one offer at a time; if that person declines, your pin stays up and you can offer someone else from the list. Once someone you chose accepts, the pin comes off the map and the others who raised a hand are notified that someone was found. The whole flow, step by step, is on How Booking Minds works.
What happens to the money
Posting costs nothing, and raising a hand costs nothing. Money only moves once you send an offer:
- Offer sent - the amount is held on your card, not charged. If they do not answer within 7 days, the hold is released in full.
- They accept - your card is charged and the money is held by Stripe. If they decline, nothing is charged and the hold is released.
- You meet - the helper shows a QR code and you scan it. That scan releases the payment: the helper keeps 85% and Booking Minds keeps 15%.
- Cancelled after they accept - the amount comes back to your card minus the 15% fee. If the helper never showed up, write to us, and when it was not on you we refund the fee too.
- Payout - the helper withdraws from $1 once a day, and whatever is left is paid out on the 1st. There is no payout minimum.
Payments run entirely on Stripe. Booking Minds never sees or stores a card number.
For the people who help
Open the Needs tab on the map to see what people post, and tap "I can help" on anything you can do. Keep the posted amount or name your own price; if you go above it, say why in the chat once they pick you. A profile photo is all you need to raise a hand.
To accept an offer and get paid, you verify your ID once, in about a minute: a document check and a short liveness check. The offer reaches you with the amount already held on their card; it is charged when you accept and released when they scan your QR code at the meeting. You keep 85%, with no payout minimum. What this is not
- Not a bidding war. Hands carry prices, but helpers never see each other's, and you send one offer to one person at a time.
- No lead fees. Nobody pays to post, to look or to raise a hand.
- No promise of speed. We cannot tell you that someone will raise a hand, or how soon. If nobody does, nothing else happens and the pin comes off the map once your time has passed.
- Not a screening service. We do not vet who raises a hand. You see their photo, profession, price and whether their ID is verified, and the choice is yours. Anyone who accepts your offer has passed the ID check. Read how identities are checked on Safety and trust.
Questions
Do I have to pick anyone?
No. If you pick nobody, the pin comes off the map once the time you set has passed. Money only moves if you send an offer: it is held then, charged when they accept and released by the QR scan when you meet, and the helper keeps 85% with no payout minimum.
Can someone ask a different price than I posted?
Yes. Whoever raises a hand keeps your amount or names their own, above or below it, and you see that price next to their name. If you choose them, your offer starts at their price and you can change it before you send it. The amount is held when you send it, charged if they accept and released by the QR scan when you meet, and they keep 85% with no payout minimum.
What if nobody raises a hand?
Then there is nobody to choose and nothing else happens. The pin stays on the map until the time you set, then comes off, and you can post again with more detail or a later time.
Do I need to share my location?
You need a place on the map, not your phone's location. The pin goes where you appear on the map, and you can drop that pin by hand anywhere instead of using your location. Members can see the pin, so the exact address is better left for your offer note or the chat.
Who has to verify their ID?
Posting and raising a hand need a profile photo, not an ID check. To send an offer you add a card and verify your ID once, in about a minute, and the person you choose must be verified to accept it and get paid.
Is it only for trades?
No. Anything a person can help with in person can go on the map: a repair or a move, and just as well a lesson, a translation, photos, tech help, a legal or tax question, or advice.
