Safety and trust on Booking Minds

Meeting someone from an app is an act of trust. We designed Booking Minds so that you never have to trust a stranger - only a system that has ID-checked whoever gets paid for a meeting, and that holds the money until you have actually met.

Verified identities, not usernames

Government ID

Anyone paid for a meeting has scanned a real ID document. We receive the name, date of birth and nationality - and whether it passed. We never store images of the document.

Liveness + face check

A short liveness check proves a real person is holding the phone, and the face taken during the check is matched to the document portrait. A borrowed card does not pass.

One document, one account

A document can verify only one account at a time. That is what the blue badge means.

The flag next to a name comes from the verified document's nationality - nobody can edit it. Verification takes about a minute and happens once. The badge is where trust starts; the conversation does the rest, and Mind has a short read on why showing vulnerability looks braver from the outside.

Money that waits for the meeting

Sending an offer only reserves the amount. It is charged the moment the other person accepts, never before, and released in full if nobody answers within 7 days.
Accepted money is held by Stripe until the QR code is scanned at the meeting. Neither side can touch it.
The scan releases the payment. The person being paid keeps 85% and Booking Minds keeps 15%. There is no payout minimum.
No scan, no payment to the host. If the host never shows up, cancel from Requests: the amount comes back minus the 15% fee, and when it was not on you, write to us and we refund the fee as well. Nothing is ever released on a promise or a timer.
Payments run entirely on Stripe. Booking Minds never sees or stores a card number.

Your location is yours

You can appear on the map with your GPS position or with a pin you drop anywhere you like - a café, your office, the centre of your city. Other members see your pin: your live position if you use GPS, or the spot you chose if you dropped one. Never your history. Switching location off in your phone settings stops updates, but your last pin stays on the map until you move it. People you block cannot see your pin on the map or what you post in Needs, and you do not see theirs.

Meeting safely

The app's Help & safety screen says the same - one tap from your profile and from every offer sheet:

Meet in a public place for a first meeting - a café, a co-working space, a lobby.
Keep the conversation in the app until you have met. The chat exists so that the arrangement has a record.
Tell someone where you are going. It takes ten seconds.
If anything feels off, leave. Once an offer is accepted, only the payer can cancel it, from Requests: the amount comes back minus the 15% fee, and when it was not on them, they write to us and we refund the fee as well. The host is never paid without the scan.

What Booking Minds is not

It is not a dating app. Every profile is tied to a profession and every meeting has a purpose and a price agreed in writing - see how a meeting is arranged. People who use it for anything else are removed.

Questions, a bad experience, a refund that looks wrong: write to info@bookingminds.app or use "Contact us" inside the app. Safety reports can also go to safety@bookingminds.app. The Privacy Policy lists every processor we use and exactly what each one receives.
