A Yik Yak alternative for asking anything
Yik Yak is a feed of anonymous posts, mostly from your area. If what you want is to ask a question and get answers from people anywhere, it is a different job. We make Booking Minds, so here is the difference with sources, and when Yik Yak or another app is the better choice. Checked in November 2026.

When Yik Yak is the better choice
If you want local chatter, on a campus or in a town, and you want to see what people around that place are saying right now, stay with Yik Yak. Booking Minds is not a feed of what is happening nearby.
When Booking Minds fits
- You have a real question, and the answer may be in another city or another country.
- You want to hear from someone who has been through it: what an AI cannot tell you.
- You also want to meet people with their names on, on the People map.
Ask is new, so an answer can take a while, and we cannot promise one. Booking Minds knows the account behind every number, so that the rules hold for everyone. How asking anonymously works.
Other apps like Yik Yak
- Jodel: another local anonymous feed.
- Reddit: not anonymous by default, but you do not use your name, and it has a community for nearly any question.
